Israel is hiring 2500 Filipino Hotel workers in 2025
As Israel fully reopens its doors to international tourists—lifting many of its travel and health restrictions—the hospitality sector is bracing for a major rebound. With the anticipated surge in visitors to the Holy Land this year, the country’s hotel industry is ramping up efforts to fill thousands of job vacancies.
According to data, approximately 4.5 million tourists visited Israel during Holy Week in 2025, underscoring the strong demand for hospitality services.
In response to this demand, Philippine Ambassador to Israel, Macairog Alberto, met with officials from the Israel Hotel Association (IHA) on March 14 to discuss the immediate deployment of 500 Filipino hotel workers. The deployment is scheduled for the first week of April—just in time for Passover and Holy Week.
Growing Demand for Skilled Workers
During the meeting, the IHA expressed the industry’s need for up to 10,000 workers and confirmed plans to hire an additional 800 Filipino hotel staff, increasing the total number of Filipino workers in the sector to 2,000.
The IHA praised Filipino workers for their professionalism, strong English communication skills, and dependable work ethic—qualities that have made them highly sought after in Israel’s hospitality industry.
Support from the Philippine Government
Ambassador Alberto reassured the IHA that the Philippine government, through the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), is working closely with Israeli labor and immigration authorities to fast-track the deployment process.

Government-to-Government Hiring
This initiative falls under the 2018 Philippines-Israel bilateral labor agreement, ensuring a direct government-to-government hiring process with no recruitment agency involvement.
The agreement, signed during President Rodrigo Duterte’s 2018 official visit to Israel, became operational in December 2020. Since then, the POEA and Israel’s Population and Immigration Authority (PIBA) have collaborated to run nationwide recruitment campaigns in the Philippines.
